Our Story
Wheel’s on Fire was born out of a shared love for one of the most powerful nights in American music history: The Last Waltz. A group of seasoned musicians — each with their own deep roots in rock, blues, funk, and jam traditions — came together with a vision to recreate that legendary farewell concert by The Band.

What started as a casual idea over drinks and vinyl records quickly evolved into something bigger: a tribute not just to a band, but to a movement. With decades of combined experience performing in local and national acts, these artists bring authenticity, energy, and soul to the stage.
Wheel’s on Fire is more than a cover band — it’s a community of musicians honoring the spirit of collaboration, musical legacy, and the magic of live performance. Every show is a celebration, and every note is a nod to the masters who came before.
The Last Waltz project ignited years of discussions amongst friends as a legendary event they were determined to realize. The stars aligned, and we are fortunate to have some of the finest musicians in Pennsylvania, including past nominees and winners of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame awards as well as some of PA's top performers taking on the role of guest stars from the original event.
We are thankful to those who joined us that evening to re-live the iconic 1976 concert that marked the end of touring for The Band.
